Mostafa Ramezani, a political prisoner held at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, reported that he was subjected to verbal abuse, sexual insults, and physical assault while visiting the prison’s central infirmary on Sunday, July 26, 2026.According to Ramezani, Hamid Asadi, an officer present at the infirmary who “clearly did not appear to be in a normal state,” used obscene and degrading language and directed sexual insults at Ramezani and members of his family. Ramezani stated that Asadi deliberately disrupted his medical treatment before enlisting the assistance of other officers to beat him.Ramezani further stated: “I had no pre-existing physical or psychological condition. Everything that has happened to me is the result of the conduct of incompetent medical personnel serving the Islamic Republic.”He described the incident as part of a longstanding pattern of mistreatment targeting political prisoners across Iran’s prison system.@iranhrdc#DigitalBlackoutIran#iran_strikes #iran_human_rights#iranmassacre#mostafa_ramezani
