Pejman Zare, a Baha’i citizen from Shiraz, was released from Adelabad Prison in Shiraz on Saturday, August 15, 2026, after five months in detention, following the posting of bail. Zare was arrested on March 15, 2026, when Ministry of Intelligence agents raided his home in Shiraz. He was initially taken to an intelligence detention facility and later transferred to Adelabad Prison after the interrogation process was completed.Zare had remained in detention without a clear resolution of his case. His most recent interrogation session was held on July 12 at Branch 14 of the Shiraz Prosecutor’s Office, but his case had not yet been referred to court. He had also been denied access to a lawyer during his detention.
