Children should do their homework.Would از فعل will میاد و درباره اراده و شرط حرف میزنه. بیشتر توی جملههای شرطی و حالت مودبانه به کار میره. مثلا اگه وقت داشتم میرفتم. If I had time, I would go. یا مودبانه میگی میشه لطفا. Would you please help me. یعنی تمایل و خواستن.Could از فعل can میاد و درباره امکان و توانایی گذشته صحبت میکنه. مثلا بچگی تند میدویدم. When I was young, I could run fast. یا حالت مودبانه برای اجازه خواستن میتونه باشه. Could I open the window. حالا گاهی توی جمله شرطی هم نشون دهنده احتمال ضعیفه. It could rain tomorrow.درباره ریشه هم بدون که shall معنی بایستن و وظیفه میده، will اراده است و can توانایی. برای همین should همیشه یه جور فشار اخلاقی یا پیشنهاد قوی داره، would درباره تصمیم و انتخاب ذهنیه و could درباره اینکه راهش وجود داره یا نداشته.اگه بخوای توی کلاس یه مثال ساده به شاگردهات بدی بگو. You should study. You would study if you had time. You could study if you wanted. اولی باید، دومی شرط ذهنی، سومی امکان. فرقشون همینه.
