Binance is planning to apply for a crypto license from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to re-enter the British market under the upcoming regulatory framework, according to The Telegraph. The application process opens on September 30, 2026, with the new rules set to take effect on October 25, 2027. To qualify, firms will need a physical presence in the UK and must meet strict requirements around authorization, governance, and compliance. Binance is expected to establish a dedicated UK board as part of these efforts. This move marks a strategic shift after the FCA restricted Binance’s local entity in 2021. In response to tightened financial promotion rules, the exchange paused onboarding of new UK users in 2023. Now, Binance appears to be positioning itself for a regulated return. The Crypto Ledger
